Westin Rio Mar Country Club (River Course)

The Westin Río Mar Country Club is located in Palmer, Río Grande, between the Atlantic Coast and El Yunque National Rainforest Reserve. The Club plays host to two 18-hole championship courses, the Ocean Course and the River Course. The River Course, a Greg Norman design, opened in 1997, and is known for its tropical landscape and wildlife scheme, which include tropical wetlands, palms trees, Flamboyan trees, Reine del Floral, and plenty of colorful birds and Iguanas. The Greens are covered in Tifdwarf Grass and the Fairways in Bermuda. The Mameyes River runs through the course. Water hazards are in play. Restrictions apply for non-members, so call ahead to confirm. It is estimated that 82,000 rounds are played annually here.
