Palmas del Mar Golf Club (Flamboyán Course)

Located southeast of San Juan in Humacao, the Palmas del Mar Country Club features two championship eighteen hole golf courses. The Palm Course and the Flamboyan Course have superb layouts. The newer Course, the Flamboyan, bends along a 20-acre freshwater lake, intersects the Candelero River, and meets the coastal waters of the Caribbean with Vieques Island as a backdrop.

The Flamboyan Course is a Rees Jones design, built in 1998. The Greens are covered with tifdwarf grass, the Fairways with bermuda. The Fairways are wide at the far holes and narrow at the near holes. Water hazards take the form of a pond and the lake. The layout is known for its deep bunkers, elevated greens. The wind makes it all the more challenging. You'll definitely get to use all your clubs on this course.

The Palmas del Mar Country Club is located in the Palmas del Mar residential resort community. Non-guests are allowed to play whenever space is available. The number of rounds played annually is estimated in the 50,000's.
